James "Jim" Weber

James “Jim” Weber, age 94 of Le Center passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at Rivers Edge Hospital in St. Peter. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 13 from 9:30-11:00 am with Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am, all held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Le Center with Father Tom Margevicius. Interment at Calvary Cemetery in Le Center will be following the luncheon.

James was born on August 8, 1929 in Minneapolis to Frank and Mabel Weber. Jim’s primary and secondary education were at St. Mary’s and McKinley High School in Le Center, plus St. John’s prep school in Collegeville, MN. He graduated from the University of Minnesota, College of Pharmacy in 1957. During this journey, he also added a degree in Commercial Art.

He actively practiced Pharmacy for 50 years. Jim owned and managed Weber Drug Store in Le Center, MN for 25 years from 1960 to 1986. At that time, he became a consultant/relief pharmacist until his retirement in 2007. From 2014 until present, Jim resided at Horizon Place in Le Center, MN.

Jim met Jean Lhotka in Minneapolis while attending art school. They were united in marriage on September 16, 1950 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Le Center. They had three daughters and two sons: Carol Jean, Mary Ann, Robert Patrick, John Michael, and Ann Marie.

Jim is survived by his children, Carol (Les) McGrath of Richfield, Mary (Richard) Michelini of Seneca, SC, Robert Weber of St. Peter, and John (Jan) Weber of Le Sueur; grandchildren, Ryan McGrath, Kevin McGrath, Thomas (Diane) Michelini, and Stephen (Lindsay) Michelini; great-grandchildren, Mackenzie, Vincent, Frances, and Leo Michelini, Mason Cole and Amaya VanBuskirk; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Jim is preceded in death by his wife, Jean; his parents, Frank and Mabel; and his daughter, Ann Marie; sister, Mary Schmidthuber
